Deja Vu All Over Again

May 4th, 2008 by Mike

So for the third year in a row, the Sharks bow out in game 6 of round 2.  I won’t be able to say anything about the game tonight and the Sharks this postseason without resorting to a bunch of lame cliches, so I will say this.  That fucking sucked.

Check this out… interesting stuff about RW and his relationship with his players…

Very interesting. Barry Melrose anyone? By all accounts he’s very into the “positive reinforcement” side of the spectrum, and that’s a side that largely foreign to the hockey community. It’s ironic that a lot of the RW criticism is that he doesn’t show a lot of emotion and fire on the bench. Clearly the negativity is there, but not in an obviously demonstrative way.

How about Bakes as bench boss and Ricci filling Hunter’s shoes? I’d want to keep Zettler.

Take anything Al Strachan says a rather large helping of salt. There are a few things that don’t quite jibe in that article–Ron Wilson didn’t speak to Patrick Marleau, his captain, for 6 months?

I’m of the opinion that Ron Wilson isn’t really the problem, but he’s not the solution, either. He’s had his chance.
